WELCOME

I am excited to share with you what I have learned over the course of, well, my life! I have been performing since I was a young lassie, and developed quite a passion for Scottish Highland and Step dancing as well as the music and the culture.

I have been teaching dance since I was 16 years old, and haven’t stopped since, so it felt very natural to obtain a Bachelor of Education degree. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and then went on to enjoy a career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Whole body health and wellness has always been a way of thinking for me, and sharing that with others. Today, I continue to work as a Registered Massage Therapist at my home-based business, I teach Highland dancing, Step dancing, and Stott Pilates lessons at my home as well as at international camps, workshops, and educational facilities. I continue to perform locally and internationally, and now, I am furthering my passion to teach and share my knowledge through online instructional videos. I’ve always had a desire to share what I have learned and I am excited to take my teaching to new audiences!

Sabra teaches weekly dance classes at her home dance studio in Creignish, Nova Scotia. She also teaches workshops, camps, seminars, and Master classes in Highland dancing and Step dancing both nationally and internationally, as well as square dance instruction at festivals and corporate events

PILATES INSTRUCTION

Sabra has been practicing Pilates for over 15 years and became a certified Stott Pilates instructor in 2017. Essential Mat level Pilates classes are offered from her home-based studio in Creignish, as well as at local halls around the Inverness County area.

MASSAGE THERAPY

Sabra has been a Registered Massage Therapist since graduating from the ICT Northumberland College in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2000. Sabra will resume providing massage therapy sessions from her home-based clinic in Creignish, Nova Scotia once Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted.

Along the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail, which stretches along the coast from Port Hawkesbury to Cheticamp, one comes across many wooden bridges. My family and I walk, 4-wheel and snowmobile the trail frequently. I’m always curious how these wooden bridges sound and feel to dance on so decided to try a few steps out on the bridge in Troy back in September 2020, which became the first in this wee series. Surprisingly, many of these little bridges have built-in sprung floors! My daughter, Ruby often joins me and showcases her growing repertoire of steps.
